Where we're headed
It's hard to imagine that we are entering into our 5th year of True North Expeditions! What started in 2012 with an idea, a lot of camping gear (thanks to MacPac), and a beautiful property in the southern Flinders Ranges has now grown and evolved each year.
One thing at the top of our agenda this year is continuing the transparency between our work and effectiveness. If you engaged in an expedition last year you were aware of all the graphs, charts, and numbers we used to show how you or your child was progressing compared thousands and thousands of people the same age in similar situations. This has not yet been done in adventure therapy and we hope to continue!
In 2016, we presented our findings internationally at mental health, education, and psychotherapy conferences. We ran an expedition with effective and comprehensive follow-up support through a rural community program and the Department of Education and worked with more families coming from each state and territory in Australia than any year before.

Our research-supported program engages teenagers while working with schools, psychologists and families to make sure we are helping all areas of the young person's life. Our qualified team knows how to get the most out of teenagers while building strong relationships. The best thing about True North is that teens love our programs and connect with us. True North Expeditions has research published in peer-reviewed academic journals.
